Two young girls narrowly escaped tragedy after a bullet whizzed past them while they were in the bedroom. Priscilla Hewlett told WPVI that her niece, Lilly, was sleeping while her daughter, Isabella, was sitting on a bed next to her when a bullet blasted through the wall, zipping past the two girls, before exiting through the wall on the other side of their bedroom.

Shocking video from the family's home surveillance system captured the terrifying moment.

"They shoot the gun, and I heard it when it came out, and I started running out of the house and telling my mom," Isabella told the news station.

Authorities believe the bullet, which was fired from a rifle, came from next door. While it's been over a week since the incident, the police have not determined who fired the shot or why they discharged a rifle.

The incident has left the family traumatized.

"I'm just an emotional wreck. I mean, terrified," Hewlett told WCAU. "It could have been anyone else in this house. Just horrific. My children can't even sleep in their own bedroom at night. I mean, every day, we have to go up there and get their clothes out of their room, and we just bawl out into tears."
