Woman Accused Of Feeding Meth-Laced Bean Dip To Co-Workers

A woman from Oregon is under arrest for allegedly feeding her co-workers bean dip that was laced with methamphetamine. Police say that Cassandra Medina-Hernandez, who is a deli worker at the Jefferson Thriftway grocery store, was making bean dip when another employee came by to get some food while on her lunch break.

The woman tried the dip and enjoyed it so much that she asked to take some home with her. While she thought the dip tasted funny, she didn't think anything of it until she started to feel sick after returning to work.

She was taken to the hospital and doctors found traces of meth in her system. Investigators believe another employee also ate the laced bean dip. They do not think Medina-Hernandez served the dip to any customers.

She was taken into custody and charged with unlawful delivery of methamphetamine, recklessly endangering another person and causing another person to ingest a controlled substance. She was suspended from her job following her arrest.

Medina-Hernandez was previously convicted of delivery and possession of meth, fourth-degree assault, and third-degree robbery.
