Pima County's Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Francisco Garcia, sent an email to Pima County Superintendents stating despite the AZDHS reporting Pima County passed benchmarks to start hybrid learning, it wasn't safe to go back to the classroom. He offered no data to back up his opinion. Despite Tucson hospitals dismantling COVID units, Garcia claims hospital capacity is a worry and he can see into the future and predicts a COVID spike at UA which will show in two weeks. The goalposts are always moving. Parents need to tell Pima County and school superintendents how they feel about this.
