Jason Aldean Details Miranda Lambert Collaboration at Album Release Party

Jason Aldean celebrated the release of his eighth studio album Rearview Town during an intimate show for fans in Los Angeles during his iHeartCountry Album Release Party. The new album follows 2016's They Don't Know, and features 15 new songs, including a collaboration with Miranda Lambert called "Drowns the Whiskey" and lead single "You Make It Easy" (for which Jason uniquely released three separate music videos for to tell one very emotional and moving story).

During Jason Aldean's iHeartCountry Album Release Party, the country star performed some of his new music for fans from Rearview Town, including "You Make It Easy," the title track "Rearview Town," and "Drowns The Whiskey." But fans were also treated to favorites from a number of his previous albums like "Little More Summertime," "Take A Little Ride," "Dirt Road Anthem," "My Kinda Party," and more.

Watch Jason Aldean perform "Rearview Town" & "You Make It Easy" below.

Jason also opened up about the making of Rearview Town, the upcoming ACM Awards, and his "High Noon Neon Tour" while talking to iHeartRadio's Bobby Bones in between performing songs. Take a look at some of the highlights below.

1. Jason originally sent a different song to Miranda Lambert before "Drowns The Whiskey" (which he calls "one of the highlights of the record."

"Miranda and I have been friends for a long time. We kinda hit the scene together back in '05 or so, and toured together a lot in the early days. And she actually recorded a song with me on my second album called 'Grown Woman,' and so I always loved that song, and I thought her voices always blended really well together. So I had the idea for us to do something else on this record, and the first song I sent to her, she kinda was like 'Eh.' So I said, 'Well, alright. Back to the drawing board.' So, I sent her that song ["Drowns The Whiskey], and that was the one she obviously loved. And it's a little bit more traditional, so it was a little bit more her thing. The song, obviously it's a great song, but once she got on board, and came in and sang her part, I mean, it just took it to a new level."

2. On the possibility of winning Entertainer of the Year at the ACMs again for the third straight year in a row (Which he did! Congrats, Jason).

"We won Entertainer of the Year the last two years, and that was big goal that I had set for myself a long time ago, and the fact that we won it once was amazing, and the fact that we won it twice was crazy. So, we're excited to go back, and who knows what'll happen. We'll see."

*He's also up for male vocalist of the year.

3. How he feels about having Lauren Alaina and Luke Combs join him on his "High Noon Neon Tour."

"Lauren Alaina, who was out with us on the 'My Kinda Party Tour' a few years back, came out and opened for us, and she was right off of 'American Idol.' She had just come off 'American Idol, and really didn't even have a hit yet. So she kinda got thrown into the fire a little bit, and I think she was like 17 at the time or something, she was really young. I'm excited to see her come back out. Now, she's really got it going. She's matured as an artist, but also as a person, and as an entertainer. So I'm excited to have her come out, and see what she's doing these days as far as her show goes. And Luke Combs, I mean he's coming off a huge year. He did a couple shows with us last year, and I was really impressed by what he did. I think from top to bottom, I think it's just gonna be a fun show to be at."

4. He is a Hootie and the Blowfish fanboy and can't wait to have them at his Atlanta show at the Atlanta Braves stadium.

"I'm from Georgia, originally. So, I'm a big Atlanta Braves fan, and that was one of my stadiums that I was like, 'Man if I don't play anything else, I wanna play at the home of the Atlanta Braves. So, we started talking about it and obviously whoever's on my tour is going to play with us, but we were like, we need to ask something else to this thing to just give it that extra little, that thing. And so we started throwing around ideas, and I just threw out Hootie and the Blowfish just randomly. And I guess because Darius [Rucker] is a friend of mine, and I just thought maybe I can talk him into it. So, sure enough, I think it took him a second to go, 'Hm, that's weird. Hootie and the Blowfish. We only play one show a year.' But they agreed to do it, and I love that band. I mean, when I was in high school, that was probably the biggest band in the world, and I loved what they did. So I'm excited to have them on the show. It's gonna be really fun."
